Automating the ATO - Sara Friedman, GCN

GovReady found the biggest problems came from the "sheer amount of documentation" that agencies must provide in their system security plans to get an authority to operate. After a series of experiments to determine how agencies created their SSPs, GovReady worked with developers to create component-centric guidance and build apps that map system components to compliance controls and include compliance documentation. When users select apps to build their systems from the GovReady-Q Compliance Server, their SSP automatically populates.

Compliance data expert GovReady PBC is proud to announce a partnership with long time Department of Defense contractor and technology solution provider B&D Consulting, Inc. to incorporate the GovReady-Q Compliance Automation Server into EPIC 2.0 (Extensible and Portable Infrastructure as a Service Cloud). The partnership will enable defense enterprises to quickly and easily generate System Security Plans and other compliance documentation by automatically translating configuration information into security control attestations and verification evidence.
